Chance McKee is the Director of Development & Communications for Mission Possible. A native Texan, Chance recently moved to Canada from Texas and joined our organization in 2022. He is excited about the challenging opportunity to not only move much-needed resources into the Downtown Eastside Community, but to also help amplify the valuable lived experiences of the people he works alongside.
Chance has 15 years' of public service work, having worked for a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C., as well as serving in grassroots, community-led nonprofit organizations throughout the United States and Canada. The main areas of focus of his work include rural public education, HIV/AIDS awareness, 2SLGBTQIA+ advocacy, and fighting for better wage protection and living standards alongside the immigrant/undocu-worker community throughout Texas.
Chance is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and received a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Mass Communications from Texas Tech University.
Outside of work, Chance spends his time exploring the city of Vancouver, training for ultramarathons, playing MarioKart with his husband, and taking their adopted 12-year-old miniature Schnauzer/terrier mix dog for long walks.
Chance can be contacted if you would like to donate to, or partner with, Mission Possible - or if you just want to learn more about our work.
