Port Metro Breakfast At MP StudioWorks
Earlier this year, Port Metro Vancouver and port industry leaders joined forces to host the 15th annual Port Gala fundraising event to help raise awareness and funds for important community organizations.
The event was co-hosted by Port Metro Vancouver and port terminal businesses from across the Lower Mainland including DP World, Fraser Surrey Docks, Global Container Terminals and Western Stevedoring. More than 400 people attended the sold-out event, setting a new record.
The total funds raised since 1999 is now $1,600,000 and the total raised at the gala this year was $225,000. The three worthy community organizations that will receive $75,000 each are: Mission Possible, Harvest Project, and Reach.
A cheque presentation took place this morning, Friday December 12, 2014 at Mission Possible StudioWorks on Princess Street in Vancover. Another presentation will take place at Harvest Project for Monday, December 15, 2014.
