Port Metro Vancouver Breakfast
Every year the fine folks at Port Metro hold an annual fundraising Gala. Mission Possible is one of the fortunate recipients of a portion of the funds raised.
Port Metro along with Mission Possible hold a breakfast some months after the Port Metro Gala where the cheque is presented. That breakfast was held yesterday, Monday September 30th at MP Community. MP Community members, various members of the MP staff as well as Port Metro CEO's and staff were on hand to eat breakfast together (served by Port Metro CEO's in lovely new Mission Possible aprons), mingle, and perform the cheque presentation.
People, Purpose Paycheque
Mission Possible CEO, Brian Postlewait, and MP Community members Loretta and Doug all spoke on behalf of Mission Possible. Brain pointed out that the funds donated to Mission Possible are highly leveraged as jobs are created, in turn more people earn a paycheque, and as evidenced by Loretta and Doug, purpose returns to people lives.

Port industry leaders present funds to local charities
On Wednesday, June 5, Port Metro Vancouver and port industry leaders joined forces to host the 14th annual Port Gala Fundraising Event to help raise awareness and funds for important community organizations. The event raised $180,000 this year.
The 2013 Port Gala Fundraiser was co-hosted by Port Metro Vancouver and Port terminal businesses from across the Lower Mainland: DP World, Fraser Surrey Docks, Global Container Terminals and Western Stevedoring.
More than 380 people attended the popular fundraiser, setting a new record. The beneficiaries of the 2013 Port Gala will receive $180,000 this year, bringing the total amount of funds raised since 1999 to $1,300,000.
The three worthy community organizations that are receiving $60,000 each are: Reach Child and Youth Development Society (Delta), Harvest Project (North Vancouver) and Mission Possible (Vancouver).
