Like many living in the Downtown Eastside, Violet wanted to work, but could not see a way to do so.
She was suffering from painful arthritis and relying on social assistance to make ends meet. Violet saw a way forward when she heard about Mission Possible and began working on the Clean Team.
Eventually, she expressed an interest to further her resume and went through Security Training. She went out to secure a job working as a Concierge Security Guard and has recently reached out to Mission Possible to assist another co-worker in securing a job there.
Her dedication to the work was seen throughout her time here, as she maintained a positive attitude, sought to reach her goals, be an encouraging co-worker and successfully completed Security Training. Throughout the loss of her housing and process of securing housing again, she stayed faithful to both work and her own well-being.
