ABOUT THE MISSION POSSIBLE CASE STUDY: Recipient of the Social EnterPrize in 2011, Mission Possible is featured in the latest edition of our case study series, our effort to more effectively tell the stories of amazing Canadian social enterprises.

While all of the case studies reveal interesting patterns (more on this below), each also has its unique aspects. The Mission Possible case study demonstrates a social enterprise committed to solving its customer’s need of effective community security and building a healthier and more inclusive community in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver.

An instant classic, the Mission Possible case study features prominently in our recent report “Building on Getting Beyond Better” (BonGBB). The Mission Possible case study contains plenty of insights for any social entrepreneur, including:

  • The Development of Social Enterprise
  • The Refocus Plan Successes To-Date
  • Staff Aligned on Philosophical Approach
  • Storytelling/Branding Complexity of Social Enterprise
  • Importance of Building Relationships
  • Preparation & Planning

A special thanks to Mission Possible and our authors, Dr. Kyleen Myrah & Kerry Rempel, Okanagan School of Business, Okanagan College!
